Why a file gets rejected

Every destination enforces its own rules, and the error usually names none of them: a size ceiling, exact dimensions, a required format, a maximum length. These pages state each platform's current limits plainly, with the date they were last checked, and link to the tool that gets a file under them.

Questions

How current are these limits?

Each page shows the date it was last checked against the platform's own documentation. Platforms change their limits every year or two; Discord's free upload limit has been 8, 25 and 10 MB within three years.

What is the fastest way to get a file under a limit?

Name the limit rather than guessing at quality. Make It Fit searches for the best quality that fits under a size you choose, and Spec Check fixes size, dimensions and format together.

Why is my file rejected even though it is under the size limit?

Size is rarely the only rule. Stickers must be exact dimensions and WebP; thumbnails must be 16:9; some uploads reject a format they cannot preview. Spec Check lists every rule a file breaks.
