Audio to Video Converter
Turn a song or a recording into an MP4, showing a picture you choose.
Turn an MP3, M4A, WAV or OGG into an MP4 showing a picture you choose, or a plain colour, in widescreen, square or vertical. Free, and nothing is uploaded.
What Audio to Video Converter is for
For sound that has to go somewhere that only takes video. YouTube has no place for an MP3, and a social post needs something to show. This puts one picture, or a plain colour, on screen for the whole length of the recording and saves an ordinary MP4. The picture is prepared once and looped, so an hour-long podcast is not an hour of video encoding, and the file ends up not much bigger than the sound.
Worth knowing
One picture stays on screen for the whole length of the sound. Nothing moves: it is not a waveform or a lyric video. An M4A that holds AAC is copied in untouched, so the bitrate setting applies to the other formats.
How to use it
- Add your files. Drop them on the page or choose them. They stay on your device.
- Set the output format and quality. The defaults suit most files.
- Press convert and save the results, individually or as one ZIP.
Questions
Does anything move in the video?
No. It is one still picture from start to finish. There is no waveform, no lyrics and no slideshow, and nothing is generated for you.
Which audio formats can I use?
Any audio format the Audio Converter reads, including MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC and AAC. The result is always an MP4.
Is the sound re-encoded?
AAC, which is what an ordinary M4A holds, is copied in as it is. Everything else is encoded to AAC, at 192 kbps unless you change it, so the video plays wherever an MP4 does.
What shape should I choose?
Widescreen for YouTube, vertical for Stories, Reels, TikTok and Shorts, square for a feed. Left alone, the video takes the shape of your picture, or widescreen if there is none.
Can I use the same picture on several files?
Yes. Add them all and each comes out as its own MP4 with that picture.
