Questions
Why is there a length limit?
Reversing cannot begin until the end has been read: the last frame has to come out first, so the whole clip is held in memory at once. That is inherent to the operation rather than a limitation here, and the cap exists so a long video fails with an explanation rather than by exhausting the tab.
Does the audio reverse too?
Yes, when there is any. Speech played backwards is famously strange; music and ambient sound often survive it rather well.
Can I reverse just part of a clip?
Trim it to the part you want first, then reverse that.
Does reversing lose quality?
The picture is re-encoded, so there is a generation of loss as with any re-encode. It is not visible at the default quality on ordinary footage.
Why does the sound come out strange?
Because it is genuinely reversed. Speech played backwards is unintelligible by nature, which is usually the point — mute the clip first if you only want the picture reversed.
Is there a length limit?
Reversing needs the whole clip decoded before it can be written back to front, so memory is the ceiling. A few minutes is comfortable; an hour of 4K on a phone is not.
