HEIC to JPG
Turn iPhone photos into files every app can open.
Turn iPhone photos into files every app can open. Free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no upload: it all runs in your browser.
What HEIC to JPG is for
The single most common conversion anyone needs: a photo taken on an iPhone that nobody else can open. HEIC is Apple's default camera format and Windows, most websites and most older software will not accept it.
How to use it
- Add your files. Drop them on the page or choose them. They stay on your device.
- Set the output format and quality. The defaults suit most files.
- Press convert and save the results, individually or as one ZIP.
Questions
Why will nothing open my HEIC file?
HEIC is a modern Apple format built on video compression. It saves about half the space of JPG, but Windows needs an extension installed and a great many websites reject the upload outright. JPG is accepted everywhere.
Will the photo lose quality?
A little, because both formats are lossy and this re-encodes. At the default quality the difference is not visible at normal size. The file will usually be larger than the HEIC, because JPG is the less efficient format.
Can I convert a whole camera roll?
Yes. Add as many photos as you like and they come back as a single ZIP, with no limit on how many or how large.
Should I stop my iPhone shooting HEIC?
Only if the sharing friction outweighs the space saving. Settings, Camera, Formats, Most Compatible switches the camera to JPG permanently.
