What Extract Subtitles is for
For getting the captions out of a film or an episode as a text file you can edit, translate, correct, or feed to something else.
Worth knowing
Only finds subtitles stored as a track inside the file. Captions already burned into the picture are part of the image and cannot be separated out.
How to use it

Questions
Why did it find no subtitles?
Because the video has no subtitle track. Captions that are part of the picture were burned in when the video was made, and cannot be separated back out.
SRT or WebVTT?
SRT is read by almost everything, including televisions and desktop players. WebVTT is what HTML video wants, so use it for the web.
Can I get several languages?
Yes. Every subtitle track in the file is extracted, each as its own file.
Can I edit the result?
It is a plain text file of times and lines, so any text editor will do. That is the main reason to extract them.
