What Image Converter is for
The general case: you have an image in one format and something will only accept another. It reads twenty formats and writes fourteen, including the awkward ones like HEIC from an iPhone, TIFF from a scanner and PSD from Photoshop, and it will do a whole folder at once rather than one file at a time.

Questions
Which format should I convert to?
JPG for photographs going anywhere at all. PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with text or transparency. WEBP when you control the site it goes on and want smaller files. AVIF when you want the smallest files and your audience is on current browsers.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes, and there is no cap on how many. They are converted one after another and offered as a single ZIP, or individually if you would rather.
Will converting lose quality?
Only if the target format is lossy. Converting to PNG, TIFF or BMP keeps every pixel. Converting to JPG, WEBP or AVIF discards some detail, and the quality slider decides how much. Each conversion page says which applies.
Does it keep the EXIF data?
Camera metadata is not carried across, which most people want: it strips the GPS coordinates and camera serial from a photo before it is shared. If you need the metadata kept, keep the original alongside.
