Resize a signature for SSC

Resize your signature for an SSC application: JPG, 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 × 2.0 cm, as the notice asks. Free, and nothing is uploaded.

Last updated

SSC asks for a scanned signature as a JPEG between 10 and 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high, and warns that blurred or miniature signatures are rejected. This page fits yours into that shape and lands it inside the range, including above the 10 KB floor that very clean signatures fall under.

There is no SSC photo to resize

Many pages still give a pixel size for the SSC photo. The Combined Graduate Level notice of 21 May 2026 does not: the application captures your photograph live during the form, and says you are not required to have an existing one.

It also warns that photographing an existing photo gets an application rejected. Only the signature is a file you prepare.

Why this stays inside the range

The range has a floor, and a neat signature on white paper can compress below it. If that happens, blank metadata is added to bring the file up to 10 KB. The picture does not change.

About the pixel size

The notice gives centimetres, not pixels. This page writes 472 × 157 pixels, which is 6.0 × 2.0 cm at 200 DPI, and places your signature on white without cropping it.

Where these numbers come from

Checked in October 2026. Rules change with each notification, so the form or notice in front of you always wins.

Questions

JPEG or JPG, 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high, in the CGL 2026 notice.

What is the SSC photo size?

For CGL 2026 there is none to meet: the photo is captured live in the application form. Check your own exam's notice, since each one sets its rules.

Why was my signature rejected?

The notice names blurred and miniature signatures. Crop close before adding it here so the signature fills the frame.
